That was one of the things I was hoping to play with when I purchased one recently, but do not see 10 or 5 MHz as options under Channel Width.ĭoes the availability of this option depend on how other parameters are configured? I only know of that feature existing on R7800, R7500v2, EA8500 or R9000. That is what lead me to the original question about setting the 7000 to operate in a 1/4 channel so I could switch back and forth just to test my theory.ĭo any of you know of a WiFi card that can be set to look for a signal on a 1/4 channel? The Manufacturer of the hardware has told us that the equipment is running on a 1/4 channel (5MHz) so I was thinking that the newer cards were just ignoring that signal because its configuration was not a normal WiFi channel configuration. Initial attempt was to use Kali and AirMon but could not see the signal at all. The actual task is trying to prove a WiFi channel is encrypted. Unless there is some magic command-line voodoo I am not aware of.

I don't think the drivers support it and all we would need is yet another thing to break Broadcom images, lol. You won't do it on an R7000, I don't think that will get ported over to Broadcom.
